Last Minute DIY Valentines for Classmates

I'm feeling a little last minute this year with the Valentines for my kids' classmates.  Last year, I was so last minute I literally printed out some sheets on my way out the door, bought a box of munkins, and called it a day.

This year I gave myself at least a few days but I still feel like I'm pushing it. Usually I'm a planner and this didn't feel real planned.

Anyway, if you're in the last minute club, too, here are a few classmate Valentine ideas for you.

For my daughter's kindergarten class I picked up three 8-packs of pencils.  I swear I can never find a pencil when it's homework time, so I figured this would be a good one!  I created these little cards that read "You're the WRITE Friend for Me!" in Silhouette Studio.  There's no reason you couldn't make them in a word processing program, though, and then just cut them out.  Fold the circles in half and cut two little slices near the middle so you can slide the pencil through.  Wam Bam DONE! That was an easy $3 DIY Valentines for 24 kindergartners.

For my 2.5 year old son's pre-school class, I bagged up some gold fish (already had them on hand) and tied these cute little tags to them.  I purchased the design from the Silhouette Online Store (tutorial on making these in Silhouette is here), but there are lots of free gold fish clipart options here that you can simply print out and cut yourself if you don't have a die cut machine.    If you want to add the text, just bring the image into the free photo editor, PicMonkey, and use the text tool to add a message or you child's name.  And just like that those are done, too!

Thanks for stopping by 2IY! If you like what you see, we'd love for you to pin it!

  1. I also prepared similar surprises for my classmates when I was at school. Now I'm studying in college. And thanks to the essay box I improved my grades. I started using a writing service and I had more time. The writers helped me a lot with writing scientific papers and term papers.
